A Modern IndustriaL wedding in Kansas City.
I’ve been really excited about sharing my work lately, especially as I’ve been slowing down to nest at home with my husband and prepare for the arrival of our first baby this November. Though the epic backdrops of Iceland, France, Ireland, or Morocco are not featured in any of my new work, what is featured is work created with a lot of heart and constant creative and personal growth.
I’ve loved refining my approach to wedding photography. I focus on establishing a relationship with my couples before their wedding day so I can be a familiar and calm presence on one of the most important days of their lives. While creating stunning images is essential, capturing the authenticity of each couple and how they interact throughout their day is just as important to me. The photos that resonate most are the laughs, hugs, tears, and moments on the dance floor.
I wanted to share this particular wedding because I felt really good about how I captured this couple's special day. They wanted beautiful pictures without all the frills that sometimes come with wedding photography. They sought quality images that reflected what their day felt like, and I took that to heart when observing and shooting every aspect.
A huge thank you to the gals at Magnolia Event Space. You always make me feel at home when I work there, and that is something no photographer should ever take for granted. Your support allows me to focus 100% on creating images that I’m proud of.
