A Posh Modern Wedding at the Surety hotel in Des Moines

Working with Megan and Jason on their wedding was truly perfection. They are the types of clients that any wedding photographer could think of. They trust you, treat you like you are apart of their wedding, they become your friend, and they really encourage you to get creative with their wedding. From the moment I met both Jason and Megan I knew that we were going to be lifelong friends with them. They had this attitude towards their wedding that I wished every couple could have. They were excited about making it a beautiful party, but they were more excited about the experience they were wanting to have. They were very intentional with every detail of their wedding while also not taking anything too seriously. If anything went wrong then, oh well! To me thats the kind of mindset everyone needs to have if they want a truly incredible wedding. Things can go wrong, but live in the moment, don’t sweat the small stuff, and laugh about it later.

Jason and Megan got married at the Surety Hotel in Des Moines, Iowa. The decor was a stunning mix of elegant and modern with some fun pops of color through neon signs, and other cool pieces of decor. The day was spent drinking whiskey, shooting some photos outside in negative 8 degree weather (this wedding was in the middle of a February freeze) and just enjoying the company of family and close friends. It was truly a treat to be here.
