A Romantic Engagement Session in Kansas City

When Camille and Kelan reached out to me about doing their engagement photos I was beyond excited. Camille sent me a mood board of photos she loved and it took me to a creative place in my brain that I haven’t been in awhile. I was thrilled to be challenged creatively and have a change of pace from my usual weekend weddings. Camille came prepared with many outfits for her and Kelan, as well as just a calm easy going presence that made me feel comfortable to slip into my element. I spent this session playing with different lenses and shooting in a way that I don’t normally get to. It was so helpful to just slow down and take in the composition in front of me. Once I brought these images to my computer I just felt so proud. I tried so many new things and I felt like it not only worked, but it spoke to my creative soul in a new way.
