A Romantic Proposal and Engagement Session in Kansas City

Where to begin with these two! Connor reached out to me last April I think because he knew he wanted to propose to his girlfriend Lindsey, but wanted to wait for the perfect time the end of August. Lindsey wanted to book me for her wedding and was getting on Connor’s case about proposing because she didn’t want to lose out on dates (holy wow, still cant get over how sweet that is!) So Connor reached out to me and set up a personal zoom call just him to talk about his plans to propose and how they wanted to get married next year! It was so sweet and I could tell from the minute I got off zoom with him that these two people were going to be new friends.

Fast forward to this past August where Connor and Lindseys sisters and cousins planned they cutest surprise proposal. It was suppose to be at a winery where the girls were going for a girls day out. The orginal plan was to have all the girls drive out to Louisburg Kansas and to hang out for a bit before going to the vineyard to “ go take photos together.” Connor was going to be there waiting for her and I was going to pop out of my hiding space and shoot him getting down on one knee.

Of course, the day of the proposal I wake up at 8am to POURING rain. What the heck were we going to do? Luckily it was suppose to stop raining around 11, which was when we were going to have the proposal, but we couldnt get out to the winery anymore because it was going to be so muddy outside. I contacted the lovely people over at Crossroads Hotel and asked if they could do us a favor and get us up to their rooftop bar for a surprise proposal with the KC skyline in the background. We literally had a new plan in a half an hour. I met Connor at Crossroads Hotel and got him a bottle of whiskey to calm the nerves down. The girls were suppose to get there to take "skyline pictures” but really Connor was waiting for her on the roof. It was so cute and such a surprise. Really, it worked out better than the first idea!

After Connor popped the question he led her downstairs where their family and friends were waiting for them! Lindsey was so overwhelmed with joy it was perfect! Everyone was checking out her new ring, giving hugs, and saying congrats. It was such a beautiful moment.

I just recently shot their engagements a few weeks ago after Lindsey gave birth to their newborn son! They turned out so good and I was just so excited to post about them! Keep scrolling for the proposal followed by their romantic engagement session!
