A Stylish and Laid-Back Downtown Kansas City Wedding
Intimate Wedding at the Crossroads Hotel
Adam and Hannah had a chic modern wedding in downtown Kansas City. They were so intentional about every aspect of their day that they only wanted to involve the places and the people that really inspired their relationship. Both Adam and Hannah got ready at The Crossroads Hotel. The bride got her power suit from Sarah Seven and the groom got a custom suit made by our local suit hero Paolini Garment Company and DAMN did they look good! Adam and Hannah are two of my best friends in a collection of 12 ( We call ourselves the 12, it’s real cute), so when they asked me to be their wedding photographer for their day it was a no-brainer for me. My day began with an emotional first look with the couple, filled with lots of “Oh my GAWD!”s and massive gawking by Adam haha. We then proceeded to hit all the coolest Kansas City hot spots for posh portraits of the couple. After portraits we did all their formal family photos. It made the day so easy, I can't recommend doing your family photos before the ceremony enough!
Before the ceremony, the couple shared a shot at our local arcade bar called Up Down before walking down the aisle with their parents. Elizabeth Mackenzie Floral did all the flowers and she did a killer job! They delivered handwritten vows as well as letting two of their best friends (and our fellow 12) Daniel and Angela do the talking since they were officiating. Adam officiated Daniel and Angela’s wedding, so it was only necessary to allow Daniel and Angela to do the honor of marrying our friends. Dan and Ang talked about their love story from their perspectives. It was all so special. We got to the emotional first kiss that lead to a roaring from the crowd cheers. Since they had already done all their formal photos, after the ceremony we went straight into mingling, drinks & snacks. Just the way it should be after such an emotional moment. After some time, we jetted off to Nimble Brewery for a night comprised of great drinks and hilarious speeches. Adam and Hannah ended the night Irish goodbye-ing their own party with pizza in hand. It was epic and so very much them.
