An Elevated Western Engagement Session in the Kansas Countryside

I love so much having the opportunity to work with my friends. When Jenn and Dylan, the babes photographed below, asked me to shoot their wedding my brain was flooded with creative ideas. Together they are the hottest cowboy chic couple there is, and I needed to make sure this vibe translated well in their engagement photo’s. We decided to have there engagement photo on the ranch where they are getting married so that they could include Dylan’s horse in the shots. Jenn made sure to bring lots of ideals for outfit changes, and also let me bring some props of my own for when we get off track from the original plan. We photographed in 4 different outfits this day and the only reason we stopped was because the sun was going down and Dylan was slowly but surely getting over me telling him to stand up and down, climb the fence, move the horse over there, etc. (Shout out to my boy Dylan for letting me harass him this day! Lurv ya!)

The Creative Direction Gave These Photos An Edge

I am obsessed with how these engagement photos turned out. The true magic that happens when 3 people lean into creativity. Their wedding is this October in Kansas City and I am already pumped to be writing up a blog post on how epic their wedding gallery turned out. Stay tuned for that later this year!
